Assiduousness of Liceo del Verbo Divino

Existing from the year 1929 that was once called Divine Word University, Liceo del Verbo Divino is a home to a great number of people. Thousands of exceptional alumni have been produced in this institution, and it is because LVD cares. LVD cares about its students’ academic performance. And as a whole, it cares for its students’ health, be it physical, emotional and mental health. One justifying example of this was the conduct of Mental Health Awareness that was initiated by the Student Guidance Counselors, Sister M. Amor Dapunan, OSF, and Ma’am Ma. Alyssa Gail Marquez through a webinar last October 16, 2020. As a Catholic School, LVD is preaching the Social Catholic Teaching, where it upholds life and dignity of a human person. It acknowledges students’ and the staffs’ rights and responsibilities. This institution also advocates solidarity and unity, and most of all, LVD instills in the Divinians the care for God’s creation. For the physical aspect, a Quaralympics was held in lieu to the sports feast that is conducted annually in order to develop sportsmanship and camaraderie among students. The main objective of this event is to create an avenue for the students to show off their talents and abilities, and so that students and teachers may break the pressure from the enervating Midterm Examination. The different contests enhance students’ character and critical thinking skills. Divinians invigorates their sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie. With all these, Liceo del Verbo Divino is truly an institution that molds learners into upright individuals, emotionally, morally, socially and spiritually, heralding its’ vision in providing quality education and excellence grounded on gospel values.
