District Meet '25 kicks off at LVD

The program was formally opened by Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS), Monina E. Gabrino delivered her opening message and expressed her gratitude for the support of the schools and parents, including the determination to march foward, once again, to the city meet.

Additionally, an intermission number was presented by Laketon Segobre, a 7th grader student and a member of the LVD dance troupe.

The presentation of coaches and athletes followed, led by the District Sports Coordinator, Sheirleen Callosa as the following schools cheered their yells:

Rizal Central School

Sacred Hearts School

Tacloban National Agricultural School

Liceo Del Verbo Divino, Inc.

Basper Elementary School

Nula-Tula Elementary School

Mercyille Elementary School

Furthermore, Eastern Visayas Regional Athletics Association (EVRAA) qualifier, Jeus Gaven Epao led the oath of amateurism as atheletes and coaches followed his words.

Tacloban National Agricultural School emerged victorious in raising the school banners, followed closely by:

Nula Tula Elementary School

Mercyville Elementary school

Moreover, a Palarong Pambansa qualifier, Jeremiah Eslaban, ran through the gymnasium as a symbol of lighting of the friendship urn.

"To all our athletes, compete with aura and always believe whether you win or loose, remember that your character is the greatest medal you can wear." DSC, Callosa, said as she formally opened the 2025 District Meet.
